Employment Opportunities Opportunity House employs approximately 115 full and part -time employees to accomplish our purpose of providing services to adults with disabilities and assisting them to set and achieve their goals. A wide variety of positions are available with a vast array of experience, education, and scheduling requirements. DOWNLOAD EMPLOYMENT APPLICATION Residential Trainer - Responsibilities include assisting adults with developmental disabilities in our group homes or in their own apartments with cooking, shopping, laundry and clothing care, money management , and other individual specific training needs and assistance. Training is provided. Requirements include high school diploma or GED, telephone, valid driver's license with car and insurance. CNA or Habilitation Aide certifications helpful but not required. Developmental Trainer - Specialized service providing activities and/or work for persons with severe or multiple disabilities, teaching functional skills in daily living and social skills. Training is provided. Requirements include high school diploma or GED, telephone, valid driver's license with car and insurance. Work Supervisor - Responsibilities include teaching work skills to adults with disabilities in a factory setting, mentoring, material handling, and inspecting. Training is provided. Requirements include high school diploma or GED, telephone, valid driver's license with car and insurance, along with the ability to work on your feet all day and lift up to 40lbs. Prior industrial, forklift, and/or CDL experience helpful but not required. Job Coach - Responsibilities include assisting persons with disabilities to find community jobs, and coach individuals at their place of employment, usually on a one-to-one basis to help workers become successful on the job and maintain employment. Training is provided. Requirements include high school diploma or GED, telephone, valid driver's license with car and insurance. Recreation Staff - Responsibilities include providing social activities which include bowling, movies, dances, swimming, concerts, Special Olympic sports, special trips and tours. Training is provided. Requirements include high school diploma or GED, telephone, valid driver's license with car and insurance. Case Manager/QMRP - Requirements generally require advanced education or successful experience working with clients having developmental disabilities. House Manager/Assistant Manager - Requirements include prior experience in supervision of staff as well as management of property within the field of social service. Advanced education degrees are encouraged. Other Management and Office Positions - These positions vary in requirements, responsibility, and education along with past work history.
