Supported Employment

Career Exploration

The Supported Employment Program at Opportunity House helps people with developmental disabilities explore career opportunities, find meaningful work, and receive the support they need to succeed on the job. Our goal is to empower individuals to achieve independence through employment while building strong partnerships with local businesses.

Get Involved: Hire Inclusively

By employing individuals from Opportunity House, businesses gain dedicated, motivated team members while fostering a more inclusive workplace and community. Our staff provides ongoing support to ensure both employees and employers have the resources they need to succeed. Additionally, businesses may qualify for the Work Opportunity Tax Credit when hiring inclusively.

We partner with both job seekers and employers to create meaningful and lasting employment success. For individuals, we help identify realistic career goals that align with their interests, skills, and experience. For businesses, we connect them with dependable and qualified employees who can meet their workforce needs.

Once a job is secured, our experienced staff provides personalized, on-the-job coaching until the employee feels confident and the employer feels supported. Continued follow-up and assistance remain available to ensure long term success for everyone involved.
