The impact of COVID-19 on our lives, our activities, and our freedom has affected us all at Opportunity House. After restrictions from seeing loved ones, the closing of the community day services, and fears of becoming ill many Opportunity House clients and staff are eager to get past this pandemic. Now we have a new, safe, and effective tool to help us do that—COVID-19 vaccines. The vaccination is not required but is encouraged. It is an important step in stomping out this virus! -Tricia Nicolay, Opportunity House Nurse On Wednesday, January 20, Opportunity House hosted a vaccination clinic with the DeKalb County Health Department for staff and clients. Staff and clients were very excited to take a step towards beating this pandemic. We want everyone in our community to be safe, be able to remove the masks, and hug family and friends again.
